API Marine has signed a contract for delivery of MasterLoad™ – loading computer and strength monitoring system for two multipurpose salvage vessels, currently under construction at Nordic Yards.
The new-buildings were ordered by the Russian Ministry of Transport and are designed for patrol and rescue operations on the Northern Sea route. Having high ice class and highly specialized equipment makes the vessels suitable for Arctic conditions and for use in ice thickness of up to one meter. Nordic Yards announced commencing of the construction in September, 2013, with delivery scheduled for 2015. The vessels are being built to the class of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping classification society.
The API Marine MasterLoad™ system will provide the multipurpose salvage vessels with the possibility of creation of loading and ballasting plans, calculation of displacement, draft, trim, stability, damage stability, longitudinal strength and torsion as well as online connection to the tank draft and level measurement systems for feeding actual values into the loading plan.
