Norwegian Siem Car Carriers AS specialized in the transportation of automobiles, roll on roll off (RO-RO) and break bulk cargo now runs its two new building sisterships “Siem Confucius” and “Siem Aristotle” built by and recently delivered from Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry Shipyard “XSI”.

The “Siem Confucius” and “Siem Aristotle” are the very first, Trans-Atlantic PCTCs (Pure Car Truck Carriers) to operate full-time on LNG and both ships are powered by an identical MAN Energy Solutions’ propulsion solution. Each of the new buildings will be capable of carrying 4.700 vehicles.

Both ships are equipped with a 2 x 1,800 m3 LNG fuel tank to fuel the MAN B&W ME-GI main drivers.

API Marine proudly announce to be the supplier of the “LNG Fuel Tank Solution” for measuring Level, Pressure, Temperature – as well as provide alarm indication for level (High- and Low-level alarm).

The API Marine “LNG Fuel Tank Solution” utilizes cutting-end patented in-house technology in level measurement and level switching, allowing stable and accurate readings in low media temperatures, reaching down to -200C.
